Almost three years since my last post and much has changed...
Quick catch-up: Married and with Manolo 11 years this past November, two KIDS: Sebastian and Talia, Now living in Miami and working the industry I wished for: RUNNING... Heavy I know but it is been the fastest three years of my life.
I know my readers are a loss and I kinda hope they are just for reading sake...
I am a full time mother, wife, runner and bag of bones...
To pickup where I left off... Graduated school, Sebastian was born, then Talia and now we live in Miami, FLA... One place I never wanted to live but I make the best of everything and now I am not sure if we could live the country or suburban life I envisioned.
I am working hard at training for my ULTRA a goal I didn't foresee in my future for another 2 to 3 years but is going to become a reality in less then a month...
I am beside myself with growth and change.
More to come...
But here is a little look into my life...

3rd Trimester
11 weeks and 3 days to for pregnancy number two. as the months close to weeks and the bigger I get the slower I am moving much slower and I feel bad because I am not playing with Sebastian as much as I would if I wasn't pregnant but I know I am still doing a good job at least my delusioned mind sees it that way. I have been reading about Reflexology and Chi again which has given me some relaxation of the mind. It is some how relaxing to know that there are other things to not worry about. My 2nd trimester was so full of despair and depression I was worried that it might complicate the pregnancy or worse I would create a little monster inside me that when born would bring sadness to any situation. But I am hoping that that is a falsity in my mind.
Finally the weather has broken and we are back at the beach. This intake of sun vitamins has helped with feeling better plus it is good to get outside. Sebas has been playing outside which is a break from the Wiggles. Yaaa for me. I was starting to feel that Anthony was beating the other Wiggles for flubbing lines.
Anyway that is where we are today. Hope to post more later.

Mommy Style (Click here for video)
Ok I know this is old but I just found it and it deals with an issue close to me.
This was posted on Momversation (see link above) in September 2009 and I just love the fact that these ladies took the time to do this because after my first I went totally crazy on my personal style, cut my hair and pierced my nose. Identity crisis I should say so... Now pregnant again and turning 30 I am at a cross roads. I am not in my 20's anymore and can't quite pull off the high top converse and pig tails like I used to, if you know what I mean.
So they ask what I do for my fashion tip or what I do in my regiment and I would have to say that my biggest fashion accessory is moisturiser for my face. You see I don't wear makeup and never have so when I put it on I always think I look like a little girl who got into her moms makeup. I am sure you can image what that must look like, it is even worse in person. I figure that if I can save anything from time it is my face. Now I need to work on everything else.
If you have any suggestions on fashion or anything drop me a line. I would love to hear what you have.

The assignment
I have been a mother for almost a year now and luckily I didn't have to do it alone. Both my sister and my besty had babies at the same time. Now that we are out of the infant stage we are ready for a vacation. So the three of us are to meet in Dunedin, FL for a little mommy getaway.
A well deserved getaway!
So Fro told us to make a list of three things that we wanted to do, so here is what I came up with:
1. Pair-a-sailing
2. I want to eat something that will tickle my taste-buds (something I didn't have to make)
3. Cover myself with tanning oil and read a a tabloid magazine on the beach.
Now I live about 30 minutes from the beach so I can do these things all year long but not with my best friends so this will be a treat.

HOW DOES YOUR TRASH WEIGH IN?
The Trash Theory
The theory is that people receive a discount or credit for what they dispose of in trash. This basic idea is that people will pay a flat rate in trash just as we do now however the trash will be weighed at the curb. The weight of the trash will be discounted if the weight is lower then a percentage of average waste weight.
Say that the average US family of 3.14 produces, lets just say, 70 lbs. of trash each week without composting and recycling. Which means that they pay a flat monthly rate for pickup. Well that 70 lbs goes to a landfill were it is imposable to breakdown because of the layering that landfills use.
The 70 lbs. of trash can be dramatically cut in half if they recycle and compost. When the recyclables, like plastics, glass, and papers, are pulled out, the weight of the trash can be reduced by 20 lbs. And with the compostable stuff, like coffee grounds, vegetable scraps, and eggshells, are pulled out; the weight can be reduced by another 20 lbs. That is 40 pound less going to a landfill and sitting with us for our children-children to live with.
Now with about 30 lbs. of trash being picked up one will receive a discount or credit on their bill, making for money going back into the home and less trash going to a landfill.
I know that there are some problems with this theory. And some of those problems would be trash pick up on a rainy day or finding your neighbor filing your trash can with his trash. The thing to remember is that this is not going to be where you get your money for your next vacation but it is a little step in making things a little greener little by little.
Let me know what you think on this subject. I would love to hear some ideas or theories of your own.
